The leadership Journey…
When we think of Leadership and Leadership Development, it is rare to think of a leader as a hero, particularly, in contemporary times.
Unfortunately, the leaders we see are often the anti-hero; men and women who lack the real characteristics–and character–that our world so desperately needs.
While it’s easy to be an anti-hero, becoming a true hero is a more challenging path.
Are There Any REAL Leaders left?
When I was a boy, I wanted to be an American. It wasn’t the Cowboys or Hollywood that appealed to me. It was something more, something deeper.
A word of caution: This one is for the “Quantum Freaks” (I’m one, maybe you are too)
As strange as it may seem, we have been brought up to believe that there is a reality “out there” that is somehow separate from what we are, and that we play no part in what it is or how it appears to us, even though the research says something quite different.
From an early age, I knew that didn’t make sense. I would sit, looking out the widow and for a moment I would wonder if I were imagining everything I was seeing. I was a strange child! Even as a young boy, I had this deep sense of knowing that there seemed to be a thin veil between the “reality” of everyday life and something else that I just couldn’t fathom how to reach.
